Earlier this month I wrote about Laurie Ruettimann’s advice about staffing agencies, and how she would incorporate them into her job search. It’s pretty clear what she thinks, and I think she’s right on.
In line with that, check out the top ten temporary jobs in the U.S., posted on Recruiting Blogs.
Does knowing about the ten most in-demand temp jobs affect your job search, what you are going to study, or how you network?
It should.
One word of caution – just because it’s in demand now doesn’t mean it will be in 2, 4 or 6 years.
I remember a few years ago when there was a massive shortage of pharmacists. This week I was talking with a friend of mine, who is a pharmacist, and he said the market is flooded, and there aren’t enough jobs. I’m guessing many people went to school to become pharmacists, and when they all graduated, they flooded the market.
If only we had a crystal ball 🙂
