The minute I posted your resume, the calls just began pouring in like crazy. I could tell when I read the verbiage on the resume that it was going to be effective, but I had no idea it would be this soon that I would begin seeing results! It was only 2 weeks ago when you did my resume and I have already interviewed with SEVERAL Fortune 500 companies including CNN, Georgia-Pacific, and Beazer Homes.
I was extended an offer from Georgia-Pacific for a position as Executive Assistant to the Vice President of Human Resources, starting at $51k…almost a $10,000 increase from the pay at my previous employer! I have accepted the offer, but I still have hiring decisions pending for CNN and Beazer Homes! Every since you did my resume, I have been having an interview everyday! You are “the BOMB”, (for lack of a better choice of words)!!! You are truly knowledgeable about the Executive Support industry and it shows through your articulate usage of industry buzz words and carefully selected verbiage. This was truly the best $xxx I have ever spent!

The cover letter and resume are great and I couldn’t be happier. On a final note, As of the end of last week, I was offered and have already accepted a V.P. position with Smith-Nephew Orthopedics.

Yes, I am still very interested in doing the mail out / posting in the US market .. however I am somewhat delayed in coming back to NY until September time frame .. I think we could be targetting either July or should we wait until September – perhaps September would be better as I would be there to follow-up / be available for the interviews.
My dad had previously opened this file and has been handling my e-mail while I was hospitalized. I will not be able to start working anywhere until the 23rd
of June and am going to Florida on the 11th to recuperate with friends.

Thanks for your efforts, I’ve made a few suggested edits to the document. The biggest issue concerns the population that I serve. My formal job appointment is to run the Okeechobee County Health Department serving a population of around 40,000 in the Summer and up to 100,000 in the Winter season.
I am also appointed, as is reflected in the resume to act as co-chair for the health and medical functions of the regional domestic security task force which serves a population of over 3,000,000.
Otherwise, it looks great. I bow to your wisdom on any of the above…I want this to sell me, but don’t want to over-state anything to the point that it might be challenged.
I reviewed the resume and made some adjustments highlighted in yellow (the track changes for some reason didn’t work), but it looks good otherwise. I have to admit I thought it was going to be longer, I guess for all the material I provided you had a lot to work with, but I am not disappointed, not at all! Actually, at this point, write also the other resume` focusing on my pr/hospitality/restaurant skills. Since you have the credit card on file, just go ahead and kill my budget!!

A fantastic job. I never knew I had really accomplished so much. It shows what attitude and an independent view can do.
I’ve made some changes and highlighted them in yellow as you indicated. I went through all my projects and put them in an excel file to get values. I was shocked at the value, even when I went through to avoid duplication.
I’ve sent back the resume’. It looks great. I’ve done a lot of work through the years. 667 million less 325 million which was an estimate for Lockheed Martin facilities here still leaves 342 million dollars. Take inflation rates that vary from 1974 projects to 2005 projects and you are still left with an amazing figure of 750 million dollars of value in projects. enough of this, but I am very impressed with the resume so far.

I don’t know whether to compliment or complain. For the past two months I have been cranking out your cover letter and two page resume’ (yes you are right 2 pages is fine), to Monster.com and other web job sites, and recieving no response. However, I knew I had a great cover letter and resume, and said to myself, it’s all going to happen at once.
Sure as heck, I got at least 12 phone calls this week, 4 were inquiry’s, 3 were interviews that I declined, and I now have 5 interviews scheulded between this week and next. In fact, one was so important that a regional manager had the district manager meet me in the Brooklyn Home Depot where I was working at, and I had my interview in my work clothes, a bit bizzare, because he lives in astoria queens and a long way to drive . But I think they want me pretty bad and were taking no chances.

RE The Resulting Doc and Your Firm (Denise) was right. Jeanie is/was able to do *everything* needed to get my resume to be a (much, much, much) better marketing document; something I knew I needed during my conversation with Denise. In fact, I found, and find, myself thinking every time I read my own resume that if I could just write that well, that is EXACTLY what I would want to convey about what happened and what it means to the person reading the resume. Plus ‘less-than-strong’ areas look a lot better. And the points being brought out now emphasize and present what needs to be brought out (ie, as a marketing doc to get the meeting and cut through the clutter) – I recognize this because I often am in the position of plowing through piles of resumes as the person needing to hire someone.
It would be a pleasure to be a reference (!) and I will pass on your firm and services to others who need it.

I wanted to tell you what a great job Kelley Smith did on rewriting my resume. It might be worth giving you a bit of history as to how I reached the point of looking for help on my resume.
I decided to search Google one day for resume writing services and came across Career-Resumes.com. I submitted my resume and was called the next day by Jane Quick to give me a critique of my current resume as well as a quote to reconstruct my resume. I have to tell you that while I was impressed with Jane, the quote seemed like it was a lot to pay for a service that on the surface might or might not be beneficial to my job search.
I can tell you that Kelley did a great job and in the end I feel as if the value I received was far greater than what I paid (but please don’t take that as an approval to bill me more!). I have already gotten very positive comments from a couple of recruiters and other professionals that I have shared my resume with. I had never gotten comments before except for asking why I changed jobs so frequently during a short period.
I would recommend this service to anyone I know who is trying to market themselves for other employment opportunities and I would especially recommend Kelley. She really took my thoughts and articulated them much better than I could have imagined.
I just thought you would want to know when someone in your organization does an outstanding job.

This resume looks great.
I have made some minor changes. I numbered the top list indicating my order of preference for those catch phrases, I do not want them numbered. My number is a suggestion and if you have any thoughts please incorporate yours. You are the expert here. I have made a few suggestions but if you don’t agree, then go with your thoughts.
At this point I do not need a cover letter. Actually I need information on services and costs that the company provides after the resume is complete. I did speak with Peter some time ago about these but have since forgot most of that conversation. If you do not have that information then please let me know who does. I appreciate the help.

I finally had my interview with F. Lee Bailey. The feedback was quite favorable. Mr. Bailey was impressed with the resume. I have to take a test
after an online course. I have begun and it is going well. If I do well on the remainder of the testing I will have a second and final interview.
In the meantime I had another interview with a financial services company and am pretty certain I will be offered a position tomorrow, with the
understanding that if the VP position with Bailey becomes a reality, taking the position will be fine with the other company.

The resume that Dan wrote worked. I posted it on Dice on Monday night and Tuesday morning received a call from a consultant firm. they hired me for a long term project, at higher then my normal billable rate, plus expenses. I could not believe that the resume worked in less then 12 hours. I am recommending you all around, so I expect you will be getting some calls.
You did a great job-thanks! I feel much better about myself. I made some changes in a couple of lines. I moved one line from E.F. Mahon up to Motophoto. My rambling on the phone must have been confusing. I answered the questions. Most of the changes are highlighted or have strikethrough. This is a huge relief.

I am not sure if you received this when I sent it to you on Oct 8. Anyway, could you please make these changes and forward the changed resume to me. I made the changes on my copy. I then posted it on Dice and the next day I landed a long term contract for big money. The recruiter for the consulting company that hired me said that this is the easiest, most professional resume he has ever seen.
After carefully reading my new and improved resume, I feel that it was written very professional and at the same time, captures my work expereince

Right now there are just 2 –
1. remove the year I graduated from college
2. In the cover letter please change ‘ethics’ to ‘ethic’.
