Anita Musicant joined Career Resumes early in 1989 when the company was in its early stages of growth. At that time, the company maintained offices in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. During the 90s, Ms. Musicant opened and managed several of these offices, trained many of the writers, and mentored most of the Managing Consultants. During her initial tenure with Career Resumes, Anita wrote upwards of 4500 resumes and cover letters for individuals at all levels, from recent college graduates to senior level executives, military leaders and government representatives. Her experience encompasses diverse roles from automotive professions to yoga instructors. She was an invited lecturer at several colleges and was interviewed for articles in the New York Times, The Bergen Record and other local newspapers. We are sad to report that Denise passed away in April 2009. She will be missed.
Twelve-plus years of resume writing and consulting experience coupled with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English earned Denise the respected title of Senior Staff Writer. She thoroughly understood the importance of informational clarity as well as the critical need to provide enough “meat” into a document to prove a client’s benefit and value to an organization. Horton wrote resumes for Sales and Marketing, Project / Program Management, Finance / Accounting and Human Resource professionals. Her attention to detail and dedication to client service was notable and will be dearly missed.
